Protests
A visiting manager may protest a game if the following
two conditions exist:
- The home manager, while managing the visiting
manager's team, violated the visiting manager's instructions during a game
- The violation of the instructions caused the
visiting team to lose the game
The process for protesting a game is as follows:
- The visiting manager contacts the home manager and
informs him of his intention to protest the game. If possible, the two
managers should try to settle the matter themselves.
- If the matter cannot be settled, the visiting
manager contacts the commissioner and explains the grounds for the
protest.
- The commissioner will either uphold the protest and
order the game to be replayed or will disallow the protest in which case the
matter is concluded. The decision of the commissioner is final.
- If the game is ordered to be replayed, the home
manager replays the game and submits the results in the normal manner.
Depending on the situation, the commissioner may or may not decide to have
the statistics from the replayed game replace the statistics from the
original game.
Notes:
- Games should not be protested for frivolous reasons
as hard feelings may result.
- If the commissioner's team is involved in a protest,
a committee of three uninvolved managers will be appointed to rule on the
protest.
